Mighty Trivia
Five hints, three guesses, and a board of 20 answers to choose from.
Mighty Trivia is a guessing game for phones, tablets, desktops, and classroom displays. Each question gives up to five hints, and players have three guesses.
Mighty Trivia began as an Alexa skill. CNET recommended the skill, and it reached the Alexa Skills Challenge final for kids. The web version keeps the rules, scoring, artwork, and sounds of the skill.
Players do not speak an answer. They tap it on a board of 20 answers in alphabetical order. The board holds the correct answer and 19 distractors from other questions.
No distractor overlaps the correct answer. For example, Kitten never appears on a Cat board. A unit test examines the board for each of the 714 questions.
Classic mode continues until the first miss. Tournament mode has four category rounds and a bonus round. Multiplayer mode passes one device between 2 and 10 players.
The game installs as a PWA and plays offline. It saves each game automatically. There is no account and no purchase. Scores, player names, and settings stay on the device.
